Although I finished this yesterday, I waited until this morning to post the image. Two reasons: First, I wanted to spend some alone time with the husband. Awwwww. Second, the more practical and artistic reason, I wanted to take one more look at the picture before I put it out to the world. I like it. Not all of my art is this peaceful and quiet (which you will soon find out!) but I like the early morning feeling of walking in a garden, gathering flowers. In addition to be an artist, I am also a huge gardener of both veggies and fleurs. The above picture was created in Caran d'Ache color pencils and was done on paper from a rescued sketch book that one of my students put in the trash. I'm happy, and on to more art!
